Terms of Service
These terms cover making a family story, sharing its reader and ordering a hardcover from Longfable.
Who can make or order a book?
Adults 18 or older can use the studio, place an order or claim a gift. Children are welcome to read with an adult. Please have an adult handle accounts, photos, payment and delivery details.
Your photos and story
You keep the rights you have in the material you bring. Use your own work or get permission from the person who owns it. Get permission from the people pictured and from a parent or legal guardian for each child you picture or identify in the story.
You give us and our service providers permission to process those materials to create, review, host, share as you direct, print and deliver your book. Buying a copy gives us no permission to use your family in advertising. Our sample stories, characters and artwork are for personal reading. A purchase does not grant commercial publishing rights to them.
Review the edition before paying
AI helps write and illustrate personalized books. A name, face or detail can come out wrong. Read the saved pages and check the mailing address before you pay. Use someone else’s delivery details only with their permission.
Paid checkout is a one-time purchase of one private digital reader, one hardcover and standard US delivery. Stripe shows the final total, including applicable tax, before you pay. If you supply the delivery address at checkout, the approved saved edition can go to print after payment succeeds. If you choose recipient delivery, the recipient supplies the address and approves the hardcover through the gift link. Paid orders may be closed during the pilot; the order screen shows availability.
Photo albums
Photo albums use your photographs rather than AI illustrations. Review the cover, page order and any added blank pages in the print preview. Starting a print order uploads the approved print files for validation before checkout; uploading does not itself purchase a book.
If you have a funded gift code
The covered gift costs you $0. Its recipient uses the gift link to read the book, choose a covered US delivery service and approve the copy. Anyone who gets the link can open it and use the options available for that order. Send it directly to the intended family.
Delivery, replacements and refunds
Delivery dates are estimates. Once printing starts, we can’t change the pages or cancel because you changed your mind. If a book arrives damaged, prints incorrectly or never arrives, use the help options on the private order link or email support@longfable.com.
We’ll check the order and arrange a free replacement for a confirmed problem, or refund the buyer to the original payment method if we can’t fulfill a paid order. A sponsored copy has no purchase payment to return. You keep any rights that apply to you under consumer law.
